Xerox Malfunctioning System

Xerox Malfunctioning System
As a designer, working with Xerox work stations have been very difficult. Today when I opened the dialog box I noticed that it called itself a "Malfunction System". Isn't that funny? That Xerox is so aware that their machines malfunction that they've called it a malfunction system? Anyway, I told the office administrator that it would be better to go with a different brand machine when he renewed the lease last year. This "new" Xerox printer has more glitches and issues than the last one and the user interface is less user-friendly. It's as if we've stepped back in time. I'd much have preferred to try a Ricoh, a HP, or a Minolta, or just about any other brand print station. Not only are those machines more user friendly (at least in my experience they have been), the customer service is faster and easier to contact - there isn't so much red tape. With Xerox, you've got to call their 800 number, talk with someone who doesn't have English as their first language and has no idea about what it's like here on site - probably have never seen the machine we're talking about (they're nice but not terribly knowledgeable or helpful) to get a service technician to come out. After all of that nonsense is over, the machine ends up being down for more than a day. That's not kosher in my book.

Stitching Project: Bear

Found a pattern for a simple bear on pinterst - decided to do one of them yesterday evening. It didn't take long and I think it turned out ok. What do you think? I'm not crazy about the shape of the arms - am going to make those a little different next time. I enjoyed doing it so much that I think I'm going to re-purpose those millions of old shirts into cute little plush dolls I can send with our church members when they go on various mission trips. And I should have enough left to put into an Operation Christmas Child box or two this fall.

Hang a Star - Illustration

The original sketch for "Hang a Star". I love to draw snowmen and little animals in scenes. Here's the completed illustration - colored digitally in photoshop.

I haven't decided where else I'll be making them available. Here's the first one.  Books one and two will be available starting January 31, 2023.
