Sharing: Dan Stevers Vid

Ok - so there are several stellar creatives out there in the world of motion graphics so it's hard to pick just one to say that he/she is my favorite, but I have to say that Dan Stevers is certainly in the top three. Not only does he make beautiful videos for worship services, he has several really helpful tutorials that I've enjoyed using when I've needed to brush up on my use of Adobe AfterEffects and Premier Pro. Here's a small taste of his aesthetic... Merry Christmas!

Daily Encouragement: Terry Young

Pastor Terry Young - First Baptist West Monroe Been working on gathering my pieces for this year's design for Mondays for the Master. Came across a video of Terry Young preaching. He's a pastor at First Baptist in West Monroe and will be our guest speaker on the last day of our Monday's for the Master (Aug 2). Was looking specifically for a screenshot or picture I could use in our promos and came across this video. Its message was timely encouragement so I wanted to share.

God's Chisel - The Skit Guys

Needed this reminder again today. It's not me - it's God's work through me. I'm not junk. God's love for me has no end. It doesn't depend on me - it depends on Him. He's overcome everything. I've probably posted this video before, but this is one that's good to revisit every once in a while. Here's another great one - "Grace" The Skit Guys have lots of hard hitting skits - check their site out. I wish they were around when I was in the youth drama group. We did some stuff that put forward a strong Biblical message but their stuff is makes it all super clear.

Time Lapse Stormscapes 2 - Nicolaus Wegner

Saw the first one of these a while back and was spellbound - I've always liked to watch clouds. Love the way large masses of clouds move across the landscape so I was thrilled to see another of these time-lapse videos from Nicolaus Wegner . here are a few screen captures from the video.

Everybody knows...

I'm going to deviate from the usual artwork stuff and share an apologetics video that came across my desk. This guy clearly expressed an even handed, calm view of atheism and various other things. It's worth watching for any thinking person. Everybody knows there are moral absolutes...

Good Friday - Marveling at the Mercy

I'm marveling at the mercy of the cross. At the ninth hour (3pm) the day following Passover evening, Jesus Christ allowed himself to be crucified. He died. It was gruesome and terrible, but through His death (but mostly His resurrection) we have the hope of heaven. That's why we call it "Good Friday." Christ's sacrifice made it possible for me, a gentile, to receive God's mercy, have hope of life eternal, and it blows my mind even now. Thank you, Father God, for that mercy, for the sacrifice and for the hope that it has created in this life You've given me. In your Son's holy name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Barbershop Quartet - Crossroads

"Blew By You" This song is funny. The first time I heard it, I laughed till I had tears in my eyes. It's worth checking out. Enjoy the laugh. And here's one more to show off their great harmonies: "Lucky Old Sun"
