Beginning with Thankfulness

Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God;
may Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
Psalm 143:10 (NIV)
So, yeah. I've been looking at that verse for weeks and praying that it'll become written on my heart. There are so many times when I have been struggling with "life" and from the dirt, a flower will spring up that will help remind me that if not for God, (the God of the universe, the God who is and was and will be forever) there would be no good at all in my life: No good health; no good family relations; no love; no comfort; no sweet puppy dog to come home to in the evenings.

Were it not for Him, I'd be miserable, hopeless and, well, to be frank, I'd not exist at all - nothing would. It's a comfort to know that He is there - that He is in control even when I don't necessarily want Him to be - that I don't have to fear the future. God knows and provides what's best for me because I love Him - so I don't have to worry and that is something HUGE to be thankful for.

Freelance Design: Selena Sews

Proofs with the two I liked most at the top... This is the one she chose - definitely my favorite - although she chose the one with the sewing machine for a larger sign she was going to do cut vinyl for. I'm looking forward to seeing these in action. A talented friend asked me to help her with some designs for craft bag tags. If you're interested in seeing some of her side-hustle goods, check out her facebook page .

Writing: Lena - Chapter 2

    So - thought I'd post the second chapter of Lena's story too. Let me know if you're enjoying it?  Could possibly release the first installment of this 2 novella story before the end of May. With this story, I feel like I'm flopping around outside of my comfort zone and although it's uncomfortable, I'm assuming these are 'good' growing pains especially since the gospel is a bit more central than in the last story I put out there.   .2. Picked Up Just before sunrise, clouds lumbered off to the northwest. I shivered in my damp clothing and stepped onto the glistening onyx ribbon of road to consider my options: one, follow it to civilization and risk running into Ted or his crew, or two, risk a slow death by turning from the road into the dehydrating desert. I couldn’t tell how far I was from where I had started, and didn’t want to risk meeting anyone along the road once the sun had fully risen, but before I had made a conscious choice, I heard the grave...
