Good Friday - Marveling at the Mercy

Skit Guys - Good Friday - Six accounts leading up to Christ's Death on the Cross

I'm marveling at the mercy of the cross. At the ninth hour (3pm) the day following Passover evening, Jesus Christ allowed himself to be crucified. He died. It was gruesome and terrible, but through His death (but mostly His resurrection) we have the hope of heaven. That's why we call it "Good Friday." Christ's sacrifice made it possible for me, a gentile, to receive God's mercy, have hope of life eternal, and it blows my mind even now.

Thank you, Father God, for that mercy, for the sacrifice and for the hope that it has created in this life You've given me. In your Son's holy name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Freelance Design: Selena Sews

Proofs with the two I liked most at the top... This is the one she chose - definitely my favorite - although she chose the one with the sewing machine for a larger sign she was going to do cut vinyl for. I'm looking forward to seeing these in action. A talented friend asked me to help her with some designs for craft bag tags. If you're interested in seeing some of her side-hustle goods, check out her facebook page .

Sculpture: Man's Face and a Hand

I've been watching a lot of Ace of Clay on Youtube recently and really wanted to try some of his techniques but I wasn't at home that day.  Dad has some super soft stanky clay that he uses to work out some of his carvings and so I got into that this week. Maybe it's time to pull out my sculpture stuff again. Really do miss it - I enjoy that more than I do writing or drawing or... probably even eating LOL  Anyway... this clay was really soft stuff and it was hard to keep from smashing it or doing any real detail work - I mean, look at those ears HA!
