For those who know me, you're aware that I like anything crafty. I crochet and knit and sew little things, and I love learning new stitches. Have been thinking I want to start a new knitting project so I've been looking around to see what I might should do. I have yarn enough for an afghan, but keep thinking that I want to make a sweater - something I think may not take quite as long as an afghan.
Not long ago, I fell in love with Katniss' victor sweater from Hunger Games Catching Fire movie. In looking around for who created it, I ran across Alice Lemoine's work. I hoped for a pattern that I could use to make one for myself vs having to figure out how to do it myself and found a free pattern for a version of it on yarnspirations, but it's doesn't have the character that the original does - although it gives me enough of an idea of what I may need supply wise and might give me an idea of what size to make each piece. Really love the tail in the back and the un-constructed feel of the piece - would love to have one myself. I imagine Alice used lots of slipped stitches and a big pair of needles - such beautiful work.
