Daily Drawing: Snowman & Penguin

The house is nearly recovered from the flood. Between all of the overtime I've been putting in and staying with family, I've not had as much time since August to work on it as I'd have liked, but I've had some help and finally had a break in my schedule where I could spend some time to wash everything up and finish the walls. Everything is looking good. I've sanded the last bit of drywall mud and caulked the molding and finished painting. Now I've got to finish up all the washing/floors/dusting/cleaning/moving back in stuff.

There's still a mountain of work, but I'm super thankful that God's given me parents who are willing to and able to help me (and who didn't mind me staying at their house for weeks while I got things sorted). Thank God for great family! And for how He's given me such great church family! FBCZ has loved on me during this and I can't imagine being any where else. They work me hard in the office - there's a steady flow of jobs that come in (sometimes it's a dump truck load of stuff to do) but I still think this is the best job God's ever given me (and I've had many). I can say for sure and for certain that my immediate supervisor is the best boss I have ever gotten to work with - he leads by example, is willing to jump in there and help you do what he's asked, and is kind even when I make stupid mistakes.

Stitching Project: Bear

Found a pattern for a simple bear on pinterst - decided to do one of them yesterday evening. It didn't take long and I think it turned out ok. What do you think? I'm not crazy about the shape of the arms - am going to make those a little different next time. I enjoyed doing it so much that I think I'm going to re-purpose those millions of old shirts into cute little plush dolls I can send with our church members when they go on various mission trips. And I should have enough left to put into an Operation Christmas Child box or two this fall.

Hang a Star - Illustration

The original sketch for "Hang a Star". I love to draw snowmen and little animals in scenes. Here's the completed illustration - colored digitally in photoshop.

AI Narrated Audio Books Coming!

I'm so excited to share that I'm fast working towards having AI narrated books available for those of you who prefer to listen to books. They will be available through Google Play to begin with. I haven't decided where else I'll be making them available. Here's the first one.  Books one and two will be available starting January 31, 2023.
